Product names, ratings and features are as published by the manufacturer and can change. We confirm the current rating and warranty of the exact product before we order it.
FLEX or STORM?
FLEX is rubberized all the way through, which keeps it flexible. STORM adds a tough backing layer. Both are Class 4. Owens Corning's literature notes that the Class 4 system rating depends on using its impact-rated hip and ridge, so we always install the matched accessories. Texas insurers must offer a premium credit for UL 2218 impact-rated roofs, but each company sets its own amount, and Class 4 earns the largest. We can't promise a discount; ask your insurer for their figure in writing. After a qualifying install we fill out TDI Form PC068 for you.
Getting the full warranty
Every major shingle maker ties its best warranty to its own accessories: starter strip, hip and ridge, underlayment and ventilation. We install the matched system to the manufacturer's instructions, photograph the components, and give you the paperwork. Every inspection comes with a free digital photo report, so you see what we see.
