About Crafton
Crafton is on Farm Road 2127 in northwestern Wise County, about two miles east of the Jack County line. Settlers arrived in the late 1870s after the Comanches were removed, a post office opened in 1878, and a town was laid out in 1883 on land claimed by George R. Craft near the headwaters of Indian Creek.
