The job
We inspected the home in March 2024 and did the tear-off and install in September 2024, with a follow-up visit in January 2025. Steep, cut-up roofs like this one take more staging, more safety setup and more hand work at every valley and gable.
What we did
- Tore off the old weathered shingle roof
- Dried in with Owens Corning ProArmor synthetic underlayment
- Installed Atlas Pinnacle Pristine architectural shingles in a dark charcoal color, with Atlas Pro-Cut starter and ProLam hip and ridge (labels visible in our job photos)
- Final walk around the whole house, including the back patio and loggia
About the shingle
Atlas lists Pinnacle Pristine as UL 2218 Class 3 impact-rated with 3M Scotchgard algae protection. Class 3 is our minimum on every shingle roof. If your insurer gives a bigger credit for Class 4, we can install a Class 4 line instead. See Class 4 shingles.
[CONFIRM: Copper Canyon / Lantana re-roof: shingle color name, and was this a storm or leak claim? (install photos are dated Sep 2024)]
