Ranch country roofs
Jacksboro is the Jack County seat, at the crossroads of U.S. 281 and U.S. 380. The town grew up beside Fort Richardson, a frontier Army post built starting in 1867 that's now a state historic site just south of town. Most of the county is still ranch land, so many of the roofs we see are on barns, hay sheds, shops and ranch houses, and many of those are metal.
- R-panel and PBR for barns, equipment sheds and shops
- Re-screws and washer replacement on older metal roofs that leak at every fastener. See metal roof repair.
- Standing seam on ranch homes where you want hidden fasteners and a longer-lasting finish
- Whole-property walk-throughs. If you have several buildings, we'll give you one written plan for all of them.
Hail in Jack County
NOAA recorded 2-inch hail northeast of Jacksboro on April 25, 2026, and 2-inch hail south of Bryson three days later. Jack County's largest report since 2016 was 3.25-inch hail in May 2025. Rural counties are under-reported because there are fewer spotters, so if a storm came through your place, it's worth getting an inspection with photos. See storm inspections.
Growing slowly but steadily
