Metal, specialty shingles and full siding replacement in Newark
From our Rhome office we take on whole-roof and whole-house projects in Newark and across Wise County. For Newark homeowners, the projects we do most are whole-roof and whole-house: metal, specialty shingles and siding.
- Specialty and designer shingles. Designer and luxury shingles and slate-look and shake-look shingles for homes where the roof is part of the look.
- Standing seam and other metal. 26-gauge standing seam, plus 26-gauge R-panel, stone-coated steel and metal shingles and tile. We form our standing seam panels in-house on our own roll formers and standing seam machine, and our own crew installs them.
- Premium shingle systems. Impact-rated shingle systems from the manufacturers we're certified with (GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning and Atlas). Class 3 is our minimum and Class 4 is available, with TDI Form PC068 for your insurer. Credits vary by company.
- Full siding replacement. Whole-house siding replacement, done with the roof, gutters, soffit and fascia in one project when you want everything to match.
Snow Roofing & Exteriors is A+ rated on the BBB. We do repair leaks and storm damage near Newark too, and if a repair is all your roof needs, we'll tell you that first. See storm & hail inspections.
Where Wise County meets Tarrant
Newark is on Farm Road 718 in the far southeast corner of Wise County, about two miles east of Eagle Mountain Lake and a mile north of the Tarrant County line. TSHA says the area had a Caddo village, settlers in the 1850s, and the first post office in what became Wise County. The Rock Island railroad arrived in 1893, and the town took the name of Newark, New Jersey. Census estimates show 1,091 residents in the 2020 base and about 1,307 in 2025.
Newark sits right at the county line, with rural homes, acreage and metal buildings close to the Tarrant County suburbs.
2-inch hail on April 1, 2024
NOAA's Storm Events Database lists two reports of 2-inch hail at Newark on April 1, 2024. The same afternoon, 2-inch hail was reported at Rhome and 2.5-inch hail at Springtown. Two-inch hail can bruise and crack shingles and dent metal, and roofs that haven't been inspected since are worth a look. See storm & hail inspections.
