Standing Seam Metal Roofs in Bridgeport, TX

Standing seam is the premium metal roof, and it's the one we're proudest of. We form 26-gauge panels on our own standing seam machine, from the home office here in Bridgeport, and our own crew installs them. Call (817) 733-9228.

What standing seam is

A standing seam roof is made of long steel panels that run from eave to ridge. The panels join at raised seams, and the fasteners are hidden under them. There are no exposed screws to back out, wear their washers or leak, which is the weak point of older metal roofs around Bridgeport. The result is a clean, modern line that suits a stone ranch house as well as a new lake place.

Why Bridgeport owners choose it

  • Lake homes and wind. Around Lake Bridgeport and Runaway Bay, open water means wind. Concealed clips and long panels give wind less to grab.
  • Hail history. 2.75-inch hail hit near the Bridgeport airport on May 17, 2025 and again on April 25, 2026 (NOAA). Steel doesn't crack or shed granules. Very large hail can dent it, and we'll be straight about that.
  • Looks and resale. On large custom homes and estates, standing seam is often the finish that matches the rest of the build.
  • Less upkeep. No exposed fasteners means no re-screwing schedule.

Details that separate a good standing seam roof from a great one

Most standing seam problems come from the details, not the panel. We pay the most attention to:

  • Penetrations. Vent stacks and pipes flashed and painted to match, so the roof stays clean (see the gallery photos).
  • Valleys and hips. Panels cut and hemmed to the line, never caulked to fill a gap.
  • Expansion. Long panels move with the Texas heat. Clips let them move without stressing fasteners.
  • Transitions. Where standing seam meets shingle, shake or a wall, the flashing is built in, not bolted on.

Full roofs and accents

Some owners do the whole house in standing seam. Others use it as an accent over a porch, bay window or entry, paired with a designer or Class 4 shingle roof. Both work. See standing seam accents and standing seam in North Texas.

Frequently asked questions

Who installs standing seam roofs in Bridgeport, TX?

Snow Roofing & Exteriors. We form 26-gauge standing seam panels on our own standing seam machine at our Bridgeport home office, and our own crew installs them. Call (817) 733-9228.

Is standing seam good for lake homes on Lake Bridgeport?

Yes. Long panels with concealed clips hold up well to wind off the water, and there are no exposed screws to back out.

What is the difference between standing seam and R-panel?

Standing seam hides its fasteners under raised seams. R-panel and PBR use exposed screws with washers. Standing seam costs more and needs less upkeep. R-panel is a strong choice for shops and barns.

Can standing seam be used just on a porch or entry?

Yes. Standing seam accents over porches, bays and entries are common, paired with a shingle main roof.

What warranty do you give on standing seam?

A 10-year transferable workmanship warranty, plus the manufacturer warranty on the panel finish, in writing.
