Roanoke's commercial roofs
Roanoke sits at U.S. 377 and State Highway 114, about two miles south of Grapevine Lake, and Census estimates show it growing from 9,671 residents in 2020 to about 10,931 in 2025. The Texas House of Representatives named it "The Unique Dining Capital of Texas," and the city counts more than 60 eateries. Add older buildings around Oak Street downtown, newer retail along 114 and 377, and warehouses and metal buildings tied to the Alliance corridor, and you get a mix of roofs that need different answers.
Restaurant roofs: grease is the problem
Kitchen exhaust fans put grease on the roof, and grease attacks some membranes and asphalt-based roofs. On restaurant roofs we look hard at the area around each exhaust fan, recommend grease containment, and often suggest PVC, which is commonly chosen for grease exposure. Rooftop units, curbs and drains get the same attention, because that's where most restaurant leaks start.
Systems we install and repair
PVC
Single-ply often chosen for restaurant roofs with grease exhaust.
PVC →TPO
White single-ply with heat-welded seams for retail and office roofs.
TPO →Modified bitumen
Multi-ply, tough under foot traffic, common on older downtown buildings.
Mod-bit →Commercial metal
Standing seam and R-panel for warehouses, shops and metal buildings.
Commercial metal →Coatings
Restoration coatings when the roof is dry and sound.
Coatings →EPDM
Repairs and replacement on existing rubber roofs.
EPDM →Metal buildings and warehouses
For metal buildings we re-screw, reseal and re-flash existing roofs, coat sound panels, or re-roof with 24- or 26-gauge panels formed on our own roll formers, so long runs go on without end laps. See commercial metal roofing and R-panel / PBR.
Repair, restore or replace
Every inspection comes with a free digital photo report, so you see what we see. We tell you plainly whether a repair, a coating restoration or a replacement fits, provide certificates of insurance before work starts, and phase work around service hours so a restaurant can stay open. Weighing options? Read TPO vs. modified bitumen vs. coating.
Hail in southern Denton County
NOAA's Storm Events Database lists 52 reports of hail 1.75 inches (golf-ball size) or larger within about 10 miles of Roanoke from 2016 through September 2026. The largest was 4.25-inch hail near Bartonville on June 11, 2023, and on May 27, 2024 2-inch hail was reported at the Roanoke-area airport, about a mile from town. Hail bruises membranes and cracks flashings in ways that leak later. We answer storm and leak calls 24/7. If you file an insurance claim, we document the damage and meet your adjuster on the roof. Texas law requires you to pay your deductible, and a contractor may not waive, absorb or rebate it. We never will.
